Propeller sits in North Fremantle, a bustling cultural and entertainment hub filled with locals and tourists looking for a bite to eat, good music to dance to, coffee to start the day and wine to end it.

In 2017, the popular eatery engaged award-winning architects spaceagency to design a new roof structure for their converted garage space to create an enclosed dining area.

With its striking facade, lofty ceilings and expanses of louvered windows to induce a light and airy feel, the addition perfectly complemented the eatery’s original converted garage digs. In addition to the renovation, Propeller’s unique Middle-Eastern menu was also reimagined during this time.

After being partially closed throughout the renovation, Propeller were looking for a way to re-introduce their unique offering to their regular customers, the wider community and key media and stakeholders.

Detail were engaged to concept, manage and deliver the relaunch event which saw more than 100 guests head to the spectacular new space and enjoy a night of specialty cocktails, dancing and a taste of their new menu.

In addition to the launch event, Detail were also engaged to manage all publicity around the re-opening as well as the venues social media channels. A strategic public relations campaign resulted in coverage in publications such as Australian Gourmet Traveller, Broadsheet and The Australian.

A targeted group of social media influencers in the food and lifestyle space were invited to a long lunch at Propeller following the official opening as a means of re-introducing the venue to the wider social media community.

A successful relaunch event coupled with a strategic public relations and social media campaign worked to cement Propeller as one of Perth’s favourite venues.

Detail continue to work with Propeller to develop content and manage the restaurants social media channels, as well as ongoing publicity for the venue.
