The WA Museum is Western Australia’s flagship cultural institution, delivering world-class exhibitions and programs that explore history, culture, and identity. In 2025, the Museum unveiled one of the most significant exhibitions ever staged in the state, Terracotta Warriors: Legacy of the First Emperor

Detail was engaged to lead the public relations campaign for the exhibition, which runs exclusively at WA Museum Boola Bardip from June 2025 to February 2026. Featuring more than 225 artefacts, including life-sized warriors, newly unearthed objects never seen outside of China, and immersive digital experiences, the exhibition offers a rare opportunity to step inside the world of China’s First Emperor, Qin Shi Huang.

Detail delivered an integrated publicity campaign designed to build excitement and drive visitation from Western Australian, national and international attendees. This included managing media strategy, talent engagement, stakeholder liaison, and coordinating media access for exclusive previews and coverage opportunities. Working in partnership with the WA Museum’s team and key stakeholders, Detail ensured all messaging and content aligned with the significance of the exhibition.

The campaign generated substantial local, national, and international media coverage, with stories appearing across print, digital and broadcast outlets. With a packed program of events and experiences running alongside the exhibition, Terracotta Warriors: Legacy of the First Emperor is firmly positioned as Western Australia’s must-see cultural experience for 2025.
