Karrinyup is starting to sparkle

Recently, we brought a whole lot of sparkle to Karrinyup Shopping Centre in celebration of the opening of the first section of the new-look Fashion Loop Mall.

As the first launch of the $800 million development, a series of sparkling activations, installations, events and experiences were bought to life to celebrate the arrival of international retailers H&M and Swarovski, as well as an expanded location for Australian beauty juggernaut MECCA.

Karrinyup also welcomed a pop-up store for Australian designer Aje to their forward thinking retail mix, alongside new kikki.K and The Body Shop stores as well as a refurbished BIG W and 700 new car bays.

In addition to the sea of sparkles and sequins, we worked closely with Australian fashion icon and beauty entrepreneur Elle Ferguson to celebrate the momentous occasion and cement Karrinyup Shopping Centre as fashion and beauty destination.

From a VIP preview event and behind the scenes H&M shopping experience, to an in-conversation and styling session, Elle formed a key part of the celebrations and kicked off a four-day, centre-wide fashion and beauty extravaganza, which included eye-catching installations, free pop-up activities, fashion experiences and in-store offers for customers to enjoy.

Opening in its entirety in late 2020, the Fashion Loop is a significant element of the overall development which on completion will offer approximately 290 specialty stores including high-quality local, national and international fashion retailers, an extensive food and beverage offering, new Coles and ALDI supermarkets and a state-of-the-art 10 screen HOYTS cinema.

This launch was just a taste of what’s to come as Karrinyup evolves throughout the $800 million development, and we’re looking forward to plenty more sparkle as the centre continues to transform into a fashion and lifestyle destination, with the entire development on target to be complete at the end of 2021
