The City of Fremantle’s festivals are a celebration of the unique culture of Fremantle. Spanning Fremantle International Street Arts Festival, 10 Nights in Port and Hidden Treasures, the programs showcase street arts, contemporary music, theatre, visual arts, film and live performances. The City of Fremantle engaged Detail to provide marketing, public relations and digital services to raise awareness of the festival, charming people into the city to experience the events. 

Working closely with key arts, lifestyle and news outlets, Detail generated awareness in the lead-up to and during the festivals. During the event weeks, Detail was on the ground to manage media opportunities and to share real-time updates to social media, feeding into the digital strategy. The digital approach involved organic social media leading up to, and over the course of the festivals. The focus was to raise awareness of the diverse and interesting acts and shows on offer. Digital advertising was engaged to expand the reach of the campaign, to reach new audiences and drive visitation from across the state.

To amplify the approach and foster media relationships, Detail facilitated an overnight media familiarisation, inviting key media and tastemakers to the city for a true Freo experience, positioning Fremantle as a go-to destination for all things arts, culture, dining and lifestyle.

Detail achieved widespread coverage, spanning print, online, broadcast and social media, as well as a significant uplift in reach and engagement across the digital channels. The public relations and digital strategy supported the City of Fremantle achieve its visitation goals for the festivals.
