The State Library of Western Australia is a leading cultural institution dedicated to collecting, preserving and sharing Western Australia’s stories, knowledge and heritage. Detail was engaged to deliver public relations support for the launch of Kinjarling Djinnang Ngalak | Country Sees Us, a significant exhibition sharing Menang Noongar perspectives, stories and lived experience of Kinjarling / Albany. 

The brief required careful translation of complex cultural narratives into clear, respectful and compelling content that would resonate across diverse media audiences. Detail worked closely with the State Library to shape key messages, develop media materials and identify appropriate opportunities for coverage. 

The approach focused on thoughtful storytelling, strong media relationships and strategic timing to ensure the exhibition’s cultural significance, community impact and contemporary relevance were clearly communicated across print, digital, radio, social and broadcast platforms. 

The launch of the exhibition achieved strong statewide visibility and meaningful media engagement. Coverage spanned major television, print and digital outlets, as well as reaching regional titles.
