Air New Zealand is New Zealand’s national passenger airline providing flights to and from New Zealand, Australia, the South West Pacific, Asia, North America and the United Kingdom. To introduce the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner (with flights between Perth and Auckland) to the world, Detail were engaged to create and manage the international launch event of the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner at Perth Airport.

An event of this scale at the Perth Airport required a keen attention to detail to ensure that the vision was brought to life whilst adhering to strict airport security procedures. We needed to create a unique, luxury experience, which also worked within heightened security and the firm restrictions implemented at the Perth Airport.

The experience began as key media and guests travelled from Sydney to Perth to mark its inaugural flight and upon disembarkation joined guests at the official launch event at the Perth Airport. Dignitaries, federal politicians, international and local media and international trade were among the first to step aboard to view the aircraft and experience its new features. These VIP guests then enjoyed the official launch event hosted within the Virgin lounge which we converted into a sophisticated Air New Zealand branded space.
