Anya Brock | RUSH RUSH GONE

Anya Brock is an Australian artist known for her instantly recognisable semi-abstracted animals, florals, and faces that are found adorning cityscapes and homes all over the world.

Detail has worked with Anya on her last two exhibitions, ‘Detached Perspective’ and most recently ‘RUSH RUSH GONE’. Both exhibitions represent a departure from Anya’s usual practice.

After becoming a mother of two, Anya found herself moving away from figuration and into a world of gut-driven abstraction. While a progression into abstract works is evident throughout Anya’s career, these new works were driven by a primal desire for more liberating self-expression.

The exhibition was a success with over 100 guests attending the opening and lots of red dots on the walls.
