LandCorp and the University of Western Australia are set to deliver Australia’s first Baugruppen cooperative housing project in White Gum Valley. Originating in Germany, the innovative model describes a process in which a group of people are brought together to become the developer of their own multi-unit housing project.

An impressive team of professionals were brought together to work on the project pro-bono, including professor of Architecture at UWA and former Western Australian and Victorian government architect Geoffrey London, architect Michael Patroni of spaceagency, Phillip Gnech of Builtform Projects, environmental scientist Dr. Josh Byrne and real estate agent Hayden Groves of dethridgeGROVES.

At a crucial point of the project, we were enlisted to assist with a targeted publicity campaign. A certain number of participants needed to be secured in order for the project to proceed. As such, the communications objective was to generate awareness and assist in driving potential buyers to the real estate agent.

To create new interest and educate audiences about this unique project, a press release was compiled which resulted in several traditional media outcomes. In addition, a Facebook Paid campaign was run simultaneously to generate further exposure and reach different audiences. With communication across both traditional and non-traditional media, brand awareness was developed, and the messages reinforced.
