Launched at Melbourne Design Week, Kurunpa Kunpu | Strong Spirit is an exhibition of limited-edition crafted timber art forms.
The exhibition is the result of a unique, multi-year cross-cultural design collaboration between skilled punu (wood) carvers Tanya Singer and Errol Evans (of Maruku Arts) and renowned furniture designer Trent Jansen.
Detail’s campaign for Kurunpa Kunpu | Strong Spirit at the Fremantle Art Centre included publicity on the exhibition and an intimate VIP event hosted with the artists and influential art, design and lifestyle personalities.
The campaign was hugely successful, achieving 50 pieces of broadcast, print and online media coverage and included double-page feature interviews in The Weekend Australian Review Magazine and The West Australian. The Fremantle Arts Centre reported a significant increase in web traffic and ticket sales for a public-facing artist-led talk at the Fremantle Arts Centre as a result of this campaign.
