Perth’s Karrinyup Shopping Centre has undergone a major $800 million development which has seen the centre almost double in size to approximately 290 stores. With a collection of major international and Australian retailers spanning the likes of Sephora, Zara, H&M, UNIQLO, LEGO, Coco Republic and Scanlan Theodore, the new-look Karrinyup now has redefined the shopping centre experience in Western Australia.
The Fresh Market and The Loop, Ground Level, officially opened in July, bringing over 60 stores to the centre spanning a collection of leading food brands, in addition to an urban fashion offering. A host of West Australian talent helped us celebrate the opening including MasterChef Australia 2021 winner Justin Narayan and R&B Artist Adrian Dzvuke.
The launch of The Loop, Level 1, and The Café Terrace followed in October, marking the arrival of over 40 new major international and Australian fashion, lifestyle and beauty retailers to the centre. In a calendar highlight for Perth’s fashion and social scene, Karrinyup teamed up with a collection of designers to present ‘A Taste of Fashion’, an exclusive runway show showcasing the leading mix of retailers on offer at the new-look Karrinyup led by Creative Director Mark Vassallo and styled by Teagan Sewell.
The final phase launch for Karrinyup’s leisure, lifestyle and entertainment precinct The West Deck followed in late October. With 20 new dining options, as well as first to Perth venues Archie Brothers and Cirque Electriq, and a new West Australian flagship HOYTS. The completion phase was marked with a sensational performance by Eskimo Joe. The ribbon cutting was led by the honourable Premier Mark McGowan.
