Kuld Creamery specialises in real ice cream with delicious, playful and nostalgic flavours inspired by the North American roots of founders Mati and Kaitlyn Kuld.

Familiar faces around Fremantle and Highgate since 2016, this year the couple behind the much-loved ice creamery decided to make one of their dreams come true and set their sights on Rottnest Island.

Gracing the shores of the iconic Basin, they brought their locally-sourced ingredients and high-quality ice cream to the rock – including an exclusive Rottnest-inspired flavour Quokka Traxx.

Detail was engaged to manage the media and publicity around the opening of Kuld Creamery’s Rottnest Island summer pop-up.

The campaign kicked off with a shoot on location at the iconic Basin. A hot, ice-cream-fuelled day saw us capture the smiling faces of the Kuld family and the magic that is Rottnest’s stunning blue waters.

Detail successfully secured a range of coverage across print, online, radio and social media for Kuld Creamery. Highlights included a selection of articles in The West Australian, across STM Loves and Today. These pieces ran across print and online, as well as Seven West Media’s regional publications. In addition, lifestyle publications Perth Now, Perth is Ok, Secret Perth, So Perth and Fabric Quarterly ran articles and shared social posts to spread the word about Rottnest Island’s newest pop-up.

After launching the summer season with their successful Rottnest pop-up, Kuld were ready to take on Perth City – opening a new store on the busy corner of William and Roe Streets.

Detail were engaged again to manage publicity around the opening, this time capturing the hustle and bustle of a city location, positioned amongst art and culture.

In addition to securing a range of coverage across print and online media, Detail assisted in facilitating a launch party complete with DJ, live mural painting, and of course – free ice cream. The event saw upwards of 250 patrons through the doors over a two-hour period. To spread the word about the new store, a group of food-focused influencers were invited to enjoy a VIP preview of the store ahead of its opening to the public.

Detail continues to work with Kuld Creamery.
