2022 saw Henley Brook by Mirvac come to life, from the unveiling of the Wongin Park Art Trail, made in collaboration with students from Moorditj Noongar Community College, to the official opening of their first parkland and with it the brand new Sales Office and Crooked Spire Café. It was a significant milestone for the project and one that demanded celebration.

Detail was engaged to concept, manage and deliver the official launch event for the new parkland, Sales Office and Crooked Spire Café, as well as manage the publicity and the paid and organic social media strategy around the event.

The values that have informed the project, including Indigenous collaboration and consideration, the retaining of mature trees, and embracing local Australian products and artisans, are core to the brand. In order to reflect these standards, Detail arranged family-friendly activities featuring Indigenous Boomerang decorating run by local Justin Martin of Djuandi Dreaming, native seedling planting so kids could take home Australian flora and an interactive reptile display to play homage to the Australian bushland.

The weather turned it on, and the event saw hundreds of guests, as well as a group of curated local influencers, descend on Wongin Park to celebrate. People enjoyed food trucks, live entertainment, free family activities and plenty of free ice cream!

Formalities saw a beautiful Welcome to Country by Nan Roma, touching words from the City of Swan Mayor, David Lucas, and a warm welcome by Mike Matich of Crooked Spire Café

Wongin Park is already a thriving hub, not only for the current and future residents, but for the wider community.
