Fuelled by the unique spirit of our Port City, the Republic of Fremantle is an urban distillery and integrated hospitality venue located in Fremantle’s historic West End. Using a state-of-the-art still, the distillery is one of the few in the world crafting its premium spirits from scratch.
Joining the ranks is Master Distiller Oliver Kitson, previously of London’s Sipsmith, who has relocated to join the Republic and is looking forward to working with flavour profiles that are unique to Western Australia.
With the impressive still at its centre, the purpose-built venue will comprise of a bar and kitchen, as well as a ‘Gin School’ where individual stills will allow enthusiasts to blend their own botanicals and take home a bottle of their uniquely crafted spirit.
In addition to producing world-class gins and vodka, the Republic of Fremantle will also offer a hospitality venue where citizens and friends can come together and share the spirit. Set to open in autumn next year, the warehouse space is being transformed by leading Fremantle-based architect Michael Patroni of spaceagency.
Detail has worked broadly with the Republic of Fremantle throughout the launch which included the strategy development around the guerrilla marketing campaign, influencer activation, press, digital marketing, content creation and social media management.
The strategy has been successful in ensuring that the citizen’s campaign and awareness of the brand is continually top of mind.
