Housed in one of Fremantle’s oldest buildings, Stable Hands is a much-loved bar and restaurant. Following structural issues with an adjoining building during construction, the venue was forced to close for several months while the damage was repaired.

In this time, owner Phillip Arnold along with head chef Reece Lardi developed a new menu that fuses Mediterranean flavours with intricate, technique-forward cooking. In addition to the kitchen, the drinks program was also given a refresh, with an all-Australian wine and craft beer offering, as well as a new cocktail list.

When Stable Hands was ready to re-open, we were engaged to help spread the word to both new and existing customers. A combination of social media, publicity, digital marketing and a launch event ensured everyone knew the venue’s doors were well and truly open once again.

A relaunch event was hosted following a soft opening period, which saw over 100 guests gather to celebrate the milestone. The textured limestone walls flickered with candlelight as the cocktails and canapés flowed. Guests enjoyed a taste of the new menu, as well as a refreshing cucumber gimlet that was created especially for the evening.

The event was extremely well-attended, with prominent Fremantle locals, media and foodies among the guests. A substantial social media uplift was achieved as a result, along with traditional media coverage and ongoing word of mouth.
